Tucson police identify north side shooting victim

BY BRIAN J. PEDERSEN, ARIZONA DAILY STAR

A man shot and killed on the north side Tuesday afternoon has been identified by Tucson police as 32-year-old Michael Kilbarger.

Kilbarger and his girlfriend had gone to a house in the 2500 block of North Fontana Avenue about 2 p.m. Tuesday, according to a Tucson Police Department news release.

The girlfriend and a man living at the home got into an argument, and Kilbarger pulled out a handgun and pointed it at the man, the release said.

The man pulled a gun and exchanged gunfire with Kilbarger, fatally wounding him, the release said.

No arrests have been made in the investigation, which is now being reviewed by the Pima County Attorney’s Office, according to the release.
