I am nearing the completion of my seventh week as the superintendent of Tucson Unified Schools and already I feel like we are starting to move our organization in a new direction. There is no question that real and lasting change will take time (probably 3-5 years), but the bow of the Queen Mary is starting to point toward new waters.
